Soccer Games

Soccer season started a few weeks back for the lil' ones.
Alyssa is pretty good for never having played.
She kicked her first goal yesterday from a ways off.
Before she started... We found her on the field playing, and then lining up for the high fives at the end! She was not even part of the team yet!
These are a few of her
buddies from her old preschool class,
Quinten and Aiden.
They are the biggest reason she wanted to play.
They are so funny to watch at this age.
They get so distracted by.... Things on the ground, a bird flying by...
all in the middle of the game.
I had to add these... I know it's not soccer but... It was the morning before we left to the game, the fog was rolling in. then, she got to play in the fog and 35 degrees. but she did great! And it warmed up.
I loved the sun coming through the fog and trees
This is Brandon's first game.
He was really good at trying to keep up with the ball and have control.
I think soccer is a lot more up to speed for him than last years T-ball.
He has really been enjoying it.
He never wants to leave when the games and practice are over.
It's good to know we found something he loves.

Families are Forever

3 Years ago with With Grandma and Grandpa Foster
Alyssa slept a long time on Grandmas lap and they both loved that.
Elsie Jewell Foster
I have procrastinated this post. I don't really know why. Maybe it was just hard.
I heard best from others of you who said... "She brought us together"
It is so hard to see her gone and even harder to know the emptiness and loneliness Grandpa is feeling now. I am so thankful to know that we will see her again and I know we will be
together forever someday. I know Grandpa was so thankful to have all of his family there to support him and show our love and to just be together.
As we were leaving he told me... "Thank you for being here. It meant so much, I just wish she could have been here with everyone too."
I don't remember what other things he said right now. But I know it was comforting for him and everyone to have all of us there. I am so glad that somehow we were all able to be together.
I am so glad my childeren and I had so many opportunities to really get to know Grandma and Grandpa Foster.
I feel like they are my own. I know it means a lot to Justin for his children to know them also.
